Go Dog Go is excited to also offer classes from other dog training instructors that add to our community. You’ll find information about the classes below along with the instructor’s email when you’re ready to sign up! Each of these instructors adds to our program and we’re really happy to be able to support them along with our own dream!

 

Casey Gardiner, LVT-CPDT-KA

Casey is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer with over ten years experience in training and over 20 years experience as a licensed veterinary technician. Casey is owned by two Gordon Setters named Joss and Brie and a Cavalier King Charles puppy named Pinot. She competes in AKC agility and Rally Obedience and brings those skills to her classes and private lessons on Mondays at Go Dog Go in Saco. Casey stresses the importance of listening to your dogs body language and building the dogs confidence all while strengthening the existing human animal bond. When not in class or working in the ER at MVMC you can find her somewhere in the woods hiking, paddling, or running canicross.

 

Larissa Savage CPDT-KA
Larissa has been involved with dogs since her early teens however became a professional dog trainer in 2016 after student teaching at a local facility, and completed her formal dog training certification in 2019. While training Larissa focuses on the relationship between handler and dog by building connection through consistent, clear, and kind communication. Larissa shares her dog life with a small crew of Finnish Lapphunds and Retrievers which all compete or train in a variety of sports such as Conformation, Agility, Rally Obedience, and Fast Cat.
Deb Mazjanis
Deb has been working with dogs and participating in dog sports since 2007. She is an educator and counselor who lives in Portland with her Portuguese Water Dog, Sonnet. Deb’s passion is developing strong training skills through the American Kennel Club’s Family Dog program, a comprehensive good manners program for all dogs, whether purebred or mixed breed. She believes that participating in enjoyable activities that are fun for both dogs and people, dogs become well-socialized and develop a lifelong bond with their owners. These activities include basic obedience, tricks activities, trail hiking, and socializing dogs in a variety of environments. Deb currently teaches S.T.A.R. Puppy and Fit Dog classes at Go Dog Go. She also organizes AKC Fit Dog Club walks and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. She is a certified AKC Level 1 and 2 Fit Dog Instructor, an AKC Fetch Dog Judge, and an AKC Temperament Evaluator.
